Your privacy, in plain English

• Your name, email, username and password. We never store your password as plain text.
• Your revision: your answers, marks, scores and notes.
• If you send us feedback, what you wrote plus your name and email.

• We use it to run ReviseWithAI: mark your answers and decide what you should revise next.
• To mark answers, we send your answer and the question to an AI company called OpenAI. We don’t send your name or email. So don’t type personal stuff about yourself or anyone else into your answers or notes.
• We send you emails you need, like a code to check your email address. We also send a daily summary of your revision. There is an unsubscribe link in it and you can switch it off in Settings.
• We never send marketing emails.

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t show adverts or follow you around the internet.
• We don’t use tracking cookies or track where you are.
• We don’t have a public profile or public leaderboard.

• Someone can only see your username, first name and score if you both agree to be friends.
• Anyone who knows your exact username can send you a friend request. You choose whether to accept.
• You can remove a friend at any time.
• Tip: pick a username that isn’t your full name.

Some companies help us run the site: Amazon Web Services and Neon (where the data lives), Cloudflare, Mailgun (emails), OpenAI (marking), Stripe (payments) and Discord (private alerts and feedback messages). Most of them are in the USA, and we use legal safeguards when data goes there.

• You can delete your account yourself in Settings. It is deleted straight away and can’t be undone. We keep only a small billing record for 6 years because the law says we must.
• You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. You don’t need a grown-up to do this.
• If you think we got something wrong, you can tell the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d love the chance to fix it first.
• If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before buying a paid plan.
